Today was such a momentous occasion for me (and my mum!) I’ve been waiting 4 years to go wedding dress shopping. Myself and Pete got engaged at a point when I couldn’t even get dressed – let alone get wed. So, it’s been a long time coming.
It was such a wonderful experience. It pans out that all I need to truly flourish in life is a shop full of pretty white dresses, 10 mirrors, a podium, and a personal assistant. Who knew?! (Well, I probably did suspect…). And my assistant was so considerate of my health needs, and gave me plenty of reminders and opportunities to sit down for rest breaks – which I really appreciated.
I think I was functioning on pure adrenaline today, because I managed to get through the entire day without my afternoon rest (which I can never normally do), and nowhere near enough water. It’s entirely likely I’ll pay for it with my health tomorrow – and possibly even the rest of the week, but I live in hope that I won’t. Regardless, it was totally worth it. I didn’t want to take the dress off, I love it so much. I’m one very happy bride-to-be.
