“God, you’re SO lucky. I wish I struggled to brush my teeth sometimes and had to choose between a shower or a social life. How can I make this happen for me?? I want it SO badly!”
… said no-one ever.
This is one reason why my blog is unlikely to ever win any popularity contests. I love to write, but unless I can find a way to make M.E and POTS sound like a daily trip to Disneyland, and become the envy of all the healthy people out there … then I know I will only ever have a modest following.
So, imagine my delight to realise my social media followers and website subscribers more than doubled in 2023. This makes my heart so happy – not because of any great desire to become an internet sensation (pretty unlikely, as we’ve established) … but because I enjoy sharing my experiences, and I love that you guys seem to resonate with and enjoy reading my ramblings.
You’re all so supportive, regardless of how much you’re struggling yourselves. It says a lot about you, and I’m thrilled you are the kind of people my blog attracts.
The Chronically Craptastic community is a really small one. Partly because I don’t have the time or energy to post stuff daily. Also, I’m guessing, because I write pretty long posts (occupational hazard of the whole ‘I enjoy writing’ thing). Oh, and there’s usually a little swearing involved, and some people don’t like profanity (shit, have I included any swear words in this post yet? Phew, I have now. Excellent. Jolly good).
Thankfully, you guys rock at embracing all of these things.
I believe in quality over quantity – and you guys have always oozed with quality. (Probably don’t need to know if you’re oozing with anything else. Unless you really wanna share. In which case, hold fire … I’ll go stick the kettle on so we can do this properly!)
So, on that happy (and slightly inappropriate) note – THANK YOU to my loyal followers for sticking with me. And for all the newbies here, WELCOME, and thank you for joining the Chronically Craptastic clan!!
To learn more about me and how I came to be here (writing about chronic illness that is – not about my parents bumping uglies), click here: About Me – chronicallycraptastic.com to allow me to introduce myself properly.
Like my stuff? Wonder if others might wanna join the clan too? Why not share? 😊
